GTA 6 on PS5 and Xbox Series: supported consoles and features
Check the announced GTA VI console versions, including Series S and PS5 Pro, and separate official feature descriptions from unverified performance claims.

Last updated: October 2, 2026
Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) is announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official PlayStation and Xbox pages list November 19, 2026 as the release date, as checked on October 2, 2026.
Which consoles are listed?
| Console | Verified status |
|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Announced by PlayStation |
| PlayStation 5 Pro | Included on the PlayStation page |
| Xbox Series X | Included in Xbox Series X|S |
| Xbox Series S | Included in Xbox Series X|S |
| PlayStation 4 | PlayStation explicitly says it is not supported |
| Xbox One | Not listed among platforms on the Xbox page checked |
Series S is included: Series X|S does not mean Series X alone. Support does not guarantee identical image quality or performance across the two machines.
What features does PlayStation announce?
The feature section of the PS5 game page names haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, controller-speaker effects, Tempest 3D audio and SSD loading.
These are manufacturer announcements, not results from our own testing. They do not establish equivalent Xbox features or differences by themselves; that platform’s information needs to be considered separately.
What PS5 Pro Enhanced does not establish
The enhanced-game label does not, by itself, promise 60 fps, a particular resolution or a ray-tracing mode. The references used here do not supply a verified technical comparison between PS5, Pro, Series X and Series S.
A performance-based decision needs graphics modes, rendering resolutions and comparable measurements. Promotional footage cannot establish consistent frame rates throughout a full play session.
Platform support is separate from purchase conditions
Check the platform, edition and account region before buying a licence or code. A shared purchase across PlayStation and Xbox, or transferable saves, should not be assumed.
Our Vice City and Leonida guide and identified vehicle list expand on announced content, rather than providing evidence of technical parity between consoles.
