GTA 6 countdown: days until the announced release
Announced GTA VI release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S: .
Announced date
until GTA VI's announced release date
Calculation reference zone: Europe/Madrid
This zone is used to count calendar days; it does not establish a game unlock time.
An exact release time has not been verified.
What this countdown measures
The counter compares today’s date with the announced release day for GTA VI. It uses Europe/Madrid as its reference so readers see the same calculation wherever they are. It counts changes of calendar date rather than 24-hour blocks leading to an unlock time.
The sources we checked do not establish a universal launch time. We therefore do not show hours, minutes or seconds. Reaching zero means the announced date has arrived; it does not establish that the game is playable on your account or in your region.
Our GTA 6 release date guide explains the announcement and separates launch, pre-orders and pre-loading. If Rockstar changes the schedule, the configured date and its sources need another review. The countdown follows the current announcement rather than guaranteeing that the date cannot change.
Confirmed consoles and the PC position
The announced platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as listed in Rockstar’s official platforms and versions FAQ. Our console guide explains what that confirmation covers.
The cited sources do not announce a PC release date. That does not establish that a PC version will never exist, or justify giving it the console release date. See the GTA 6 PC release guide for that separate question.
Frequently asked questions
Why might the remaining days differ from my expectation?
The calculation follows the date in Europe/Madrid, which may differ from your local date near midnight. The reference zone appears beside the counter. It is an editorial calendar choice, not an announcement of the game’s unlock time in Spain or elsewhere.
Does pre-loading let me play early?
It should not be read that way. Rockstar lists pre-loading from local midnight on November 12, 2026. That time describes an advance download rather than a universal game unlock. The GTA 6 pre-load guide explains the distinction.
What happens on the announced day and afterwards?
On the announced date the counter shows zero and says that the date has arrived. Afterwards it says that the announced date has passed. Check official communications and your platform’s regional conditions to establish when you can play.
Can I read this page without JavaScript?
The announced date, explanations and links remain available without JavaScript. When JavaScript is available, the browser updates the day count. We do not serve a number calculated at build time that could become stale.
