No GTA 6 announcement for Nintendo Switch 2 was identified in the official sources checked on October 25, 2026. Rockstar’s game page lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. That means “not announced” in these sources, not “technically impossible” or “never coming”.

Which platforms are confirmed?

The Xbox page identifies Series X|S and the PlayStation page identifies PS5. Neither is a Nintendo announcement. Before buying a claimed Switch 2 pre-order, look for a publisher communication naming that platform and linking its product.

Could it run technically?

Without an announced and tested version, we cannot assign resolution, frame rate, size, settings or development commitments. Comparing console specifications does not establish that a port exists. Another open-world game reaching Switch 2 does not settle this question: each product has its own implementation.

We have not tested GTA 6 on Nintendo hardware. A technical possibility is not a commercial prediction. Whether waiting makes sense depends on preferring this platform to the announced consoles, rather than relying on an unverified date.

Rumours and claimed pre-orders

A Nintendo-branded thumbnail, seller’s box or catalogue entry can be a mockup or speculative listing. We do not give it a reliability rating without checking its origin. Repeating an alleged leak does not add evidence, so this guide does not compile unsupported claims.

Where to check for an announcement

Follow the GTA VI page, Rockstar Newswire and Nintendo news. The latter two are monitoring channels, not evidence of an existing announcement. An explicit platform and product announcement would change this answer.
